Having got the call to style the event it was a chance to pull looks from awesome collections at Saks Fifth Avenue and Richards stores in Greenwich. Think color blocking looks from Prada and Theory, a sporty vibe from Saks 9/15, Helmut Lang and Lida Baday and ladylike trends from Valentino, The Row and Michael Kors. Add a little Mother’s Day glam and the expert organizational eye of Tami McCarthy of TMGPR and presto – you have yourself a rather delicious late afternoon fashion cocktail.

There’s nothing us Brits are better at than producing a little edge to our style, thank the Lord then that All Saints’ Fall 12 offerings have ‘edgy’ in spades.

From studded embellished tops to millitary style jackets, shearling vests to delicate pleat detail dresses, the label had a bunch of the Autumn style trends pegged at their preview in NoLita this week.

My out and out favorites though….the oxblood pony skin booties (which have my name all over them,) and the embellished tote – yes please!
